What is a mechanical seal? What is a skeleton oil seal? How many kinds of gaskets are there?

Mechanical seal is a device used to solve the problem of sealing between the rotating shaft and the body. It is composed of at least one pair of end faces perpendicular to the rotating axis under the action of fluid pressure, elastic force (or magnetic force) of compensation mechanism and the coordination of auxiliary seal to keep sticking and relatively sliding, thus forming a device to prevent fluid leakage. It is commonly used in rotary fluid machinery such as mechanical seal agitator for pumps, compressors, reaction pumps, and also used in gear boxes, valves, rotary joints, ship tail shafts Etc.

Framework oil seal is a typical representative of oil seal. Generally speaking, it refers to framework oil seal. The function of oil seal is to isolate the parts that need to be lubricated in the transmission parts of the mechanical seal for the kettle from the output parts, so as not to let the lubricating oil leak. The skeleton, like the steel bar in the concrete component, plays a reinforcing role, and enables the oil seal to maintain its shape and tension. According to the structure, it can be divided into single lip framework oil seal and double lip framework oil seal. The secondary lip of the double lip framework oil seal plays a dust-proof role to prevent external dust, impurities, etc. from entering the machine interior. According to the framework type, it can be divided into inner framework oil seal, exposed framework oil seal and assembly type oil seal. According to working conditions, it can be divided into rotary framework oil seal and reciprocating framework oil seal. Widely used in gasoline engine crankshaft, diesel engine crankshaft, gearbox, differential, shock absorber, engine, axle and other parts.

There are two types of gaskets. Static seal and dynamic seal.
